The Buffalo Lafayette Optimist Club invites children ages 11 or younger to join this year’s Visual Arts Competition! Participants are encouraged to submit their paintings or drawings that illustrate what the word “Optimism” means to them for a chance to receive a scholarship from Optimist International. The deadline for entries is April 10, 2022.

Please download the attached form and fill out page 2 to accompany your child’s work of art. We then ask that you reach out to BLOC President Pauline Leacock (paulineanne240 @ gmail.com or text 716 523 5553) for instructions on where to deliver your child’s entry or if you have any further questions. We look forward to being inspired by your child’s creativity!

It was a wonderful day, meeting with OI President Rebecca Butler Mona and Regional Vice President Cheryl Thames, learning more about the centennial year, and signing our incorporation papers! We’d also like to give an official welcome to newly inducted members, Tom, Mary and Karen, who had the privilege of getting inducted by President Rebecca!
